How it works

This is not a purchase. It is an exchange, and then a jewel.

Four steps, a few weeks, and two people who genuinely talk to each other at the start. Here is what that asks — from both sides.

Made to order, allow one to two weeks.

01

You tell me

You fill in the form, or you send me a voice note, or we have a coffee. There is no right way to say it. What I am after is not a favourite colour: it is what is on your mind now, and what you want this bracelet to remind you of on the days you have forgotten it.

02

I choose the stones

Howlite, labradorite, amethyst, rose quartz, tiger's eye, obsidian… I pick the beads one by one from what you told me.

03

I tie it

The cord passes between the beads and knots at every step: it is the cord that holds them, with no glue and no metal.

04

You wear it

The bracelet leaves in its little box, with a handwritten note saying what it carries and how to look after it.

What I ask of you

Frankness rather than poetry.

Tell me things as they come; I would rather have three true sentences than a page arranged. And tell me what you absolutely do not want, too.

What I promise you

What you tell me stays between us.

Nothing you tell me is published, on the site or anywhere else, unless you offer it yourself. It stays between you and me.

Frequent questions

What I am asked most

And the rest, just ask me.

What does it cost?

A made-to-measure snake knot piece starts at 26.– CHF. For bracelets with stones, it starts at 44.– CHF. The price then depends on the stones chosen, their diameter and the length. I tell you before I tie anything, never after.

Do the stones have properties?

The stones have properties, and they are chosen according to your intention, to what you are looking for.

How long does it take?

Allow 1 week between our first exchange and the parcel. It can stretch to 2 weeks if I do not have the stones and need to order them; if so, I will let you know. And I work on one piece at a time, so the wait moves with the queue.

How does the bracelet reach me?

By post within Switzerland, postage extra, or handed over in person if we can meet — we arrange that by email. Nothing is paid online: the account for the payment is sent with the order confirmation, and I braid once your transfer has arrived.

How do I know my size?

A tape measure or a strip of paper around the wrist, as close as it will go: you give me the measurement and I add the ease.

How do I look after it?

Clean water, dried in the air, no solvent and no perfume on the beads. The cord darkens a little with time: that is normal, and rather good-looking.

What if I do not like the bracelet?

You can send it back to me, or we arrange to meet. Each case is looked at on its own.

Can I give one as a present?

Yes, and it often is. You tell me about the person rather than about yourself. Allow a little more time: a wrist has to be guessed.

Ready to tell me?

Ten minutes are enough to begin.
